Where is he now?
After several years away (first at college, then traveling and living in Boston), I have returned home to the San Francisco Bay Area, where I’m now living in North Oakland with my wife.
In the winter of 2007 I created my 7 River Riddles book, which includes illustrations drawn from photos I’d taken while guiding in Idaho. I scanned, typeset, printed, bound and signed an edition of 349 books, launching my career as an author, illustrator and publisher.
After moving back to the Bay Area I began working for my father’s international dog training empire. Initially hired to edit a new training DVD, I have since become integrally involved in bringing James & Kenneth Publishers and Sirius Puppy Training into the twenty-first century, mostly via our free dog training website, DogStarDaily.com.
In the fall of 2008, my partner and I moved into the house where I grew up, which my father had been renting out for the past twenty years to a series of pretty messy tenants. We’ve been working on improving the house and garden, and try to keep a cozy home with lots of home-cooked food and home-brewed beer.
In 2009 I started doing a little oil-painting again, and I self-published

a children’s book about calculus that I wrote and illustrated with my good friend Patrick Hamilton in highschool. It had been gathering dust for years, but with the help of CreateSpace I was able to make it available to the public as a cute little paperback.
Over the past few years I’ve been working on a project called The Universe Verse. It’s a series of three
rhyming comic books which explain the origins of
pretty much everything, from the Big Bang to the dawn of civilization. So far I’ve published the first two books:

It’s Alive! The Universe Verse: Book 2
I am currently working on the third and final book, tentatively titled “Great Apes.”
